Last week, Sanergy achieved a great milestone: one of our teammates from the Mukuru community, Samuel Muindi, purchased a Fresh Life Toilet for his family to run as a business. To us, this is a great validation of our model. Our team values Fresh Life so much that they will invest their hard earned savings in it. Nairobi, Kenya, 19 April 2013 – A consortium of investors including Acumen Fund, SpringHill Equity Partners, and Eleos announced a growth stage investment in Sanergy, an innovative sanitation company that is providing low-cost toilet units and waste management services through a franchise model throughout urban slums in East Africa.
